For someone who has never read any Stephen King, what are some good intro novels to his work?

I gave up watching a month ago, and have just been reading the AV Club's hilarious reviews instead. I hope Claude and Justin can power through it and do one final Dexter podcast.

Daniel "Arzt" Roebuck appears about 15 minutes into the season 2 finale of Six Feet Under as a sex addict in a 12 step group.

I only listened to the first and last segments when this podcast first came out, but now that I have a new mp3-playing phone, I am out to tackle the entire thing, beginning to end!

One time for some reason Justin wanted to know how to say "baby" in Latin, so he googled "latin babies." Presumably a lot of "unintended" results came up, but I just loved his reaction.

Aack! I JUST finished the podcast, with what I thought was an hour to spare, until Justin mentioned that there was no episode this week. I guess I finished it with an hour and seven days to spare.

Some time ago on this very forum I dissed american public radio in favor of its somewhat comparable British counterpart, the BBC World Service. I have since seen the error in my judgment and have embraced public radio. I now see NPR/PRI/APM/etc on equal footing with the BBC World Service.

I thought the whispers explanation was really contrived. Well, not the explanation itself, just the way it was explained. They just had some character walk out of nowhere and answer a long-standing question.

Assorted thought: I got home at 9:20 last night and don't have a DVR or any other such fancy techno-logy. I loosely paid attention to the final 40 minutes and was 100x more confused than usual. I'll have to check it out online this weekend.
