how do we reconcile the elaborate build up and ceremonial capture of sam with maryann's claim early in the season that "this" has nothing to do with sam, and then meaningfully looking at tara and eggs (real name benedit. remember?) did she just mean that night? was she lying? is it still all about h...

Freaks and Geeks is great. I made me love James Franco. I also love that the actor who played Sam Weir is getting married to his boyfriend. Have you watched Undeclared? It isn't as good in my opinion, but it is more of a comedy and it definitely is worth watching. Jason Segel has an amazing secondar...

Re: Other TV Shows
It doesn't look low rent to me, and aside from some unfortunate fashion choices, it doesn't look old to me either. It was a prime time show on ABC, their budgets may be higher now than they were then, but it wasn't a low budget show, at the time. It is dated in style, I would say, and that may be p...

PS I just found this out, and I do not like it at all: apparently there is product placement in books as well as tv/films. so the next time you are reading that hot new best seller and the character walks out of her home and toward her Ford Explorer, you should know that the author got paid to brand...

I have been listening to Pandora all day (finished the LLD) and it gave me an idea-- I think it would be interesting if you 2 started a pandora station with the same 311 song that you love from the olde days, and do the thumbs up/thumbs down for a few hours and see what you end up going thru. then p...

It is too bad, though, that a straight forward quantification of the tangents cannot express the boldness of some of these tangents. Yeah, me too, and this has been discussed in a different thread, but i do agree with someone that it is pretty shitty that he didnt save nadia as well. unless he knew that nadia had to die for sayid to come back. and then it is still pretty shitty.

I'm not sure how that would work, and I havent finished the podcast, so maybe this is a redundant observation, but it does seem like the Walt vision that came to Locke after Ben shot him, telling him he had work to do and prompting him to kill Naomi, was probably Loophole, right? How long was Locke ...

They really went bananas on the guest stars for the season finale. they even got that guy who did the "Iran" digital short for SNL (not as good as Dick in a Box or Motherlover, but pretty funny nonetheless)

Jacob's List made me think about a ridiculous dream recently. Once people on the list were brought to Jaco...

I agree. This is a theme in the show-- can something that is human in nearly all ways really be thought of as not merely un-human, but the great cosmic nemesis of humanity. This becomes very intense in the show, and just thinking about all you have ahead of you makes me so jealous. PS I have to know...
