One might refer to a boat as an ark, barge, bark, bateau, bottom, bucket, canoe, catamaran, craft, dinghy, dory, gondola, hulk, ketch, launch, lifeboat, pinnace, raft, sailboat, schooner, scow, ship, skiff, sloop, steamboat, tub, or a yacht.

thought i would interject the "square and rectangle principle" here. a yacht is a boat but a boat is not necessarily a yacht. so, caveat podcastor.

though it would be fun to hear "Jack chooses to stay on the island and jumps off Desmon's steamboat."
