How Jack will kill Smokey

Jack, Locke and Richard are running towards each other in the vicinity of the sonic fence.
Jack wields the infamous dagger and Locke is prepared to talk to him so that Jack's plan will fail.
Richard then reaches his hand into his pocket and throws something to Jack.
Jacks catches the object and opens his hand to reveal... the earplugs.
Jack quickly puts them in, Locke yells in vain and Jack dives through the sonic barrier and stabs Locke.
