Frank's Boss

I think it was Claude that speculated that maybe Frank misunderstood Michael when he referred to Widmore as Frank's boss. I rewatched the episode today and immediately after Frank brushes off Michael comments as a wild conspiracy theory, they step out of the room and Frank refers to Keamy as "boss". I realize some people use the term boss as they would dude or something like that, but maybe Frank thought Michael was telling him that Keamy and his boys planted the wreckage.
