The Prisoner remake

Post by TheRadioTower » Thu Nov 19, 2009 3:48 pm

What did everyone think of the Prisoner miniseries? I thought it was pretty well done and the ending was quite satisfying but the middle was kinda fillery and weird just for the sake of being weird like in that one episode Ian McKellen's character starts behaving like a hobo for no apparent reason. I haven't seen the original so I don't know how it compare but it was a solid effort.

The Prisoner is one of my all time favorite shows. I watched the first hour of the remake and I had to stop... I've heard it wasn't as bad as I made it out to be, and I would love to go back and watch all 6 episodes. It was just so different! I feel it was a different show and not quite an homage to the original. I need to rewatch the original with an open mind.

You can watch the entire original series here: http://www.amctv.com/videos/the-prisoner-1960s-video/ and on On Demand for free if you have Comcast.
