Does this episode explain Season 1 epi 'Deux Ex Machina'?

Post by TheRadioTower »

I read this on another site and it feels quite ingenious to me. In that episode Locke has a 'dream' about the drug plane crashing, his legs stop working. Could that dream have been a desmond-esque memory as a result of time travel and the events he saw in this episode? And his legs stop working because in the back of his head ethan shoting his leg memory is starting to shoot up and his brain is tricked into thinking that his legs are not working. Finally this also explains Locke's dream in "?" where he falls from the cliff trying to reach the plane. Damon & Carlton have been bragging in interviews how by the end of this season we would see how they had planted seeds for what's going on right now way back in earlier seasons. Could this be the first one of those revelations?

I've heard the theory, and I like it, but it doesn't make any sense. Even though the crash took place in the past, it takes place in Locke's future. I don't see how he'd have any memories of it.
