Hurley tackling Sawyer

Post by Perry »

This has probably already been brought up but:
Are we supposed to believe that Sawyer built his stash hole after the episode "Dave" and not during "The Long Con"?
If not, how did it survive Hurley tackling Sawyer and them both fighting on top of it? Surely they would have uncovered it with all that scrambling.

The one under that panel and cloth in the sand in his fort?

And I think Sawyer's fort is too tough and small to be tackled in. I thought that happened right outside of it.

Here'e the scene where Kate gets a good look at Sawyer's hole.

Looks like the same tent to me.
Same blue tarp on top, same dark cloth for the door and same piece of fuselage for the wall facing the ocean.

I never said it's a different tent. I just think the stash compartment was very well made and not just a hole, and if Hurley did fall on it, with the tarp on top of it, he may have just figured it was part of the wreckage used in Sawyer's shelter.

Looks like another in a long line of LOST "oopsies".

Yeh, definitely an "oopsie", since there is absolutely no way that covering on the hole would have survived that fight.

The fact that the stash was in his tent was a reveal, I'm guessing they didn't think about this scene. This episode was a BS episode anyway.

Well they were 3 episodes apart, I suppose that's too hard to keep track of.
I didn't mind "?" but yeh "Dave" was BS.

If you get the Season 3 DVD set and watch the bonus disk feature called "lost in a day" or something like that, they are working on like 5 or 6 episodes in different stages of production at once. I'm not surprised that little things like this get missed.

And "?" was good. That was the one with the "priest detective" flashback.

Yeh with Richard Malkin, the guy with the "great" Australian accent. Although nothing could be as bad as Martha Toomey's attempt at an Australian accent. I don't mind Americans doing their attempts at an Aussie accent, but to use such a bad attempt in a big show like Lost was pathetic. Not like that scene with Hurley required such great acting talent that they couldn't use an Australian actor. In fact almost all the small parts with Australian accents are pretty bad attempts. At least Claire, Cindy and this Sam Thomas guy don't have to pretend.
Sorry, bit of a rant there.

His accent isn't real? He played "president Yuri Suvarov" on 24? Oh dear.

He fooled me, but I clearly don't have an ear for it.
