Aphasia

This may be completely apocryphal, but was curious about aphasia and found this article:

Selective aphasia in a brain damaged bilingual patient

http://scienceblogs.com/neurophilosophy ... atient.php

I also read somewhere (wikipedia, I think for what it's worth) that aphasia can effect spoken language and not written (and vice-versa). However, It's still hard to believe that Sun would get aphasia from hitting her head on a tree and that she could spontaneously recover. But, I'm no doctor.

Edit: Actually if you google Bilingual Aphasia you will find quite a bit. I guess I should say if I google it, since I'm the only person who would do such a thing. No, I don't have anything better to do on a Friday night. Also, I am catching up on the podcasts as I write this, I am on last week's. So, I may have in fact be in store for an additional ~90 minute discussion on this subject on an upcoming episode. I can't wait!
