Knowledge of the Orchid?

Post by David3 »

You guys discussed if it was common knowledge among Dharma employees that the Orchid wasn't really a greenhouse station. Based on the Orchid video released last summer, I'd say no.

Candle/Wickman/Halliwax says:
Hello, I'm Dr. Edgar Hallowax and this is the orientation film
for Station 6 of the Dharma Initiative. As you no doubt surmised, Station 6, or the Orchid, is not a botanical research...We apologize for asking you to deceive your family and colleagues. This is
of course in the interest of their own security. The unique properties
of this island created a kind of Casimir Effect allowing us
to...The field you have been selected to study is highly volatile and
potentially dangerous. But over the next few minutes we'll demonstrate
the elaborate safety measures that have been put in place to ensure
that...

I bet we see the finished version of the video in the next episode.

I've googled this, but have come up with no Freeware that effectively smacks your hand when you try to highlight/read spoilers. I guess for now you will have to use the tried-true and well-tested defense of pulling the covers up over your head (and, for godsake, MAKE SURE YOUR FEET ARE COVERED TOO) to ensure you fend of this evil monster.

Now, while that is a valiant attempt at an inspiring (and disturbing) haiku, I am fretting over its meaning. I did not read the spoiler-text (not because I've iron-clad control, but because my thirty-something hands don't work so well and can't click AND hold down a button at the same time), so don't know what your muse was. I suppose I will have to wait until after the final episodes - alas, I am so spoiler free I even close my eyes during flash forwards....
