Ben asks Jack how long ago ( or when) did Bentham talk to him. Jack said a month ago.
Does anyone think that has any significance? Or could it be them letting us know how long Bentham has been off the island?
It also seemed like Ben might not have talked to Bentham at all when he was off the island.

When Jack said "a month ago", the first thing I thought was, Locke hasn't been off the island long. The other thing I took from it is that bearded Jack, flying around the world hoping to crash has only been going on for less than a month. Locke must have convinced Jack almost immediately that he needed to go back.
