I don't know how recreating the circumstances of the crash helps them get back, but anyways here it is...

Sayid = Kate Held prisoner by Marshal.

Woman Marshal = Edward Mars Marshal escorting prisoner.

Hurley = Charlie Brings a guitar (check his bag for drugs).

Kate = Claire Child issues, plus Lost likes their babies, so I'm about 97% sure Kate is preggers (just for Justin) with Jack's baby.

Locke = Christian Dead guy in coffin.

Sun = Sayid Searching for long-lost love.

Jack = Locke Searching for his destiny, something to believe in.

Ben = Hurley Late for flight.

Did Frank turn out to be the pilot of this flight because he was supposed to be the pilot of the first flight?

I hope he had a good co-pilot if the Island beamed him down too.

I hope Frank stays away from any hole's in the windows of the cockpit. Could be dangerous.

Gee, I sure do hope Hurley brought his CD player so we can experience more heart-warming montages. Maybe that guitar case was actually jam-packed with AA batteries! Or, maybe Jacob is Jack Johnson and Hurley is bringing him a guitar! He's gonna put on a live montage! Mystery of the show solved. Next!

Monster killed the 815 pilot because he was not supposed to be there, frank was. So Frank should be safe.

I'm really sad that Frank shaved his beard and cleaned up. His shaggy look with that Hawaiian shirt was a great part of his persona. Somehow Frank doesn't feel Frank without the beard and that shirt.

But the pilot was there, which means he was supposed to be there, right? If smokey is killing people who show up on the island of no fault of their own, that's lame.

No, it's like Jack and the O6 were not supposed to leave but they did. In an ideal situation where everything went according to plan the original pilot would not be flying the plane, Frank would be on the island and O6 would stay on the island, however when there are these wrinkles/anomalies in the plan the island/smokey does whatever it can to best restore the settings to the original plan (bringing O6 + Frank back and according to my theory killing the original pilot)

Yeh but what if while the island has a "plan", Smokey isn't a part of it and does whatever it wants.

i am a bit confused. If Kate is a Claire Proxy and is pregnant then wouldn't the future Kate have had a child? Through season 4 Kate has never had a child?? Thanks.

We are past those season 4 "flash forwards". The Kate on the island with Jin holding a gun at her is the oldest Kate we have seen. (Assuming Kate isn't Eve)

I can see it now...

Jack: "...judging by the decay of the clothing...HOLY CRAP! that's my shirt! Kate, aren't those your fashion-forward pants?!
