Oh Radzinski! So he designed the Swan hatch AND worked there? I thought he was just another 'Desmond'. (Just a thought: Lostpedia states that he had to be buried within 108 minutes due to the button-pushing-schedule, but is it possible that he needs to be buried so that he doesn't ghostify?)

I always assumed all of the stations, including the Swan, were built around the same time. Are we supposed to think now that the Swan was last, build in reaction to the Incident?

It almost seems like the Swan was going to be the crown jewel of the stations, or at least Radzinsky's baby. I think the first incident led to reconfiguring the Swan for a different purpose.
