6 - The Economist
7 - Meet Kevin Johnson

My list would be fairly similar:

1 - The Constant (Crazy)
2 - The Shape of Things to Come (Awesome Smokey & Ben & Widmore)
3 - The Other Woman (Gotta love the Ben & Juliet stuff)
4 - Confirmed Dead (Jam-packed ep)
5 - The Economist (Timers & Ben/Sayid set-up)
6 - The Beginning of the End (Jacob/Christian, Abaddon & Charlie)
7 - Meet Kevin Johnson (Fill-in of mostly obvious occurrences)
8 - Something Nice Back Home (This episode is just lucky there are worse ones. Oh, and Kate's hot ass)
9 - Eggtown (Stupid Locke, stupid laws and I called Aaron so that reveal did nothing for me)
10 - Ji Yeon (Even looking at the Lostpedia entry, this episode did ABSOLUTELY nothing! wow Jin may be dead, Michael finally shows up, we get told the obvious that it is Charles' boat, Bernard and Jin go fishing and Jin buys a fucking panda! Useless)

David and anyone else... you don't have to make a new post when you revise or add things to your list. There should be an edit button to the top right of your post.

I know everyone keeps saying Eggtown was the worst, but I think it's just something that people are blindly jumping on board with. I think it is clearly the 2nd worst episode. If you disagree can you please explain to me how Ji Yeon is not the worst episode?

Ji Yeon has all kinds of cool stuff going on on the freighter. Eggtown doesn't.

Freighter events:
Frank gives Sayid and Desmond lima beans
They hear a knocking
Regina jumps off
We get told info we knew about Widmore
We see a blood stain
We "find out" that Michael is there

Boring to me.

As I said, I know Eggtown is bad, but Ji Yeon is a waste of space.

The info we get about Widmore is important. It's interesting to hear both sides of the story regarding the fake plane crash. Also, don't forget that we learned the Jin was supposedly dead. I agree that Ji Yeon is not that much better than Eggtown, I would say they're pretty much tied, in the same way that The Economist and The Beginning of the End are tied for me.

(You can't hotlink images from Blogger, so I have rehosted it here. Or at least I can't see it.)

Honestly, I don't think there are tens of thousands of people who visit that guys site to vote, but maybe it's just I don't like the site too much. Especially with such round numbers.

I think "The Other Woman" is very unfairly rated on darkufo's site. I don't think it's the greatest episode ever, but I definitely don't think it deserves to be that low on the list.

David, how do you figure "Confirmed Dead" being above "The Constant"? Are you just not big fan of the time-travel stuff?
In my opinion The Constant was a serious blow-your-mind episode, Confirmed Dead was a very good episode but it can't match The Constant in mind-blowingness. By the way our list's are very similar... :)

1.Cabin Fever (b/c of the mind blowing paradigm shit re/ Locke, Jacob, Ben, Alpert and the overall mythology)
2.The Constant (I forgive weak science fiction for the amazing Desmond & Penny chapter. Great acting, directing, music, editing, writing - Wow!)
3.There's No Place Like Home, pts. 2&3 (obvious reasons)
4.The Shape of Things to Come (luv me some Ben story)
5.There's No Place Like Home, pt. 1 (great set-up for pts. 2 & 3)
6.Eggtown (I know I'm in the minority on this, but: a)Jack's testimony told us the most we'd heard about The Oceanic Six's story; b)great Ben & Miles scene; c)great lines from Sawyer and Hurley("you'll find a reason to be pissed at Jack and come bouncin' back to me," "you just totally Scooby Doo'd me, didn't you?"); d)the Aaron reveal; e)the grenade!!
7.The Economist (the Sayid/Ben story didn't excite me like it seemed do for everyone else)
8.Confirmed Dead (interesting introduction of the freighties)
9.The Beginning of The End (not bad but a li'l weak for a season opener)
10.Meet Kevin Johnson (another '3 Minutes')
11.Ji Yeon (love the gimmick of split flashes but the Jin flashback bore no relevance to the larger story)
12.Something Nice Back Home (meh)
13.The Other Woman (even though the Ben/Juliet scenes are very good, I hate the contrived Tempest story!)

I've been watching season 4 again, and I stand by my list... The early episodes are really good. "The Constant" is overrated (although still a good episode), and "The Other Woman" season 3 b-side though it may be, is underrated. Many of these episodes still work both on a dramatic level, and because many if not most of the questions we had about them remain unanswered. All in all, it was a good season, much less painful to rewatch than season 3.

After rewatching all the DVDs, I'd probably switch those two and maybe even bump it to three. I actually really like timne travel, I just worry that if they continue to do it, the writers will mess something up and create paradoxes.
