The Lost Lowdown

It looks like ABC has decided to move Lost to 10 PM on Thursday. Grey's Anatomy is a strong lead in (but I will be watching the Office). 10 PM also means they can go a bit more adult in content than 9 PM

The real good news in that they will condense 16 episodes into 13 for this season, but I think Cuse said they are obligated to produce those 3 extra episodes.

The wheel just keeps on spinning in the saga of the current season of "Lost."

It's now official that the season will be trimmed from 16 episodes to 13 (eight in the can, five still to be filmed) with the storyline condensed to fit into three fewer hours. Plans now call for the series to run new episodes through March 13, take a four-week break and then return with one pre-strike episode and the five new ones.

I read that they will air the first seven episodes, then take six weeks off, then combine episode 4.08 with the extra five to create a 6 episode pod to close out the season.

Quotes from Damon Lidelof:

"We are going to execute our full story plan for season four," D.L. says. "This simply requires a shift from high-octane storytelling to superhigh-octane storytelling. It requires no cramming, only a slightly heavier foot on the gas pedal...so, hold on to your hats. Those of you waiting for the long-anticipated Jin and Hurley Ping-Pong tournament, however, will be very disappointed."

Luckily for me and everyone, all that means is that I say the intro...

I guess Season 5 will have 19 episodes then... I wonder how Darlton will compress the 16 ep. storyline into 13 episodes though. Certainly not by just taking out some scenes. And at the pace the plots are currently going there's probably not much filler stuff left to take out.
