i think we need to define "tangent." if between two Lost-related topics you spoke about Legos for 3 minutes, 311 for 5 and BSG for 1, would that be three tangents? two? one?

i think a true tangent is diverging from lost talk. so your example would be one tangent.

It is too bad, though, that a straight forward quantification of the tangents cannot express the boldness of some of these tangents. I would love to have a second list* that includes the duration of the tangent and what detail of the show led to it (I'm looking at you, vending machine).

*For the love of god, no one make this list.

Hey, what about this crazy thought I had while listening to the podcast-- what if we find out that Richard has been working for Loophole this whole time?
